The oldest of seven children, Sheryl grew up in a small Idaho farming community. Her father worked day and night at several jobs earning just enough for the family to survive, and her mother, who was often ill, depended heavily on Sheryl to help care for the other children.

“I always had big dreams,” says Sheryl, “I just didn’t know how to go about achieving them. I tried different colleges and majors, but nothing worked for me. I suffered from low self-esteem, no self-confidence, no direction, and had no idea what I was going to do with my life.”

Sheryl decided to move to Phoenix where she thought she landed the job of her dreams as an assistant manager at Taco Bell. Even though she worked 60 hours a week, her take-home pay was just $800 a month, which didn’t cover all of her bills. To make matters worse, the free Taco Bell food and soda pop left her with a lot of extra weight and arthritic knees. At her mother’s urging, she read “Dead Doctors Don’t Lie,” but her conventional doctors convinced her to expect continually declining in health that would force her to live off of non-steroidal, anti-inflammatory drugs.

Sheryl thought her situation was hopeless and initially refused to follow her mother’s suggestion. Finally, desperate for a solution, she listened to the cassette tapes and began following Dr. Wallach’s recommendations. Her health improved thereafter, and she has never experienced the decline her doctors predicted.

After moving back to Idaho to find a new job, her mother recommended working for Dr. Wallach, who was doing health seminars across the country. When American Longevity (the precursor to Youngevity) was formed, Dr. Wallach gave her two great options. He said, you can work in the main office if you like, and receive a regular salary, or you can become a Distributor and build your own business.

In that moment, she knew she wanted to be a Youngevity Distributor, and soon realized it was far more spectacular than she ever imagined! It took lots of hard work, dedication, and perseverance, but she loves helping people and built a great business with residual income that enabled her to buy the car of her dreams. She continued to follow Dr. Wallach’s nutritional recommendations religiously. She lost 35 pounds, she began to look and feel a lot better, and that improved health and sense of well-being has continued for decades.

Dr. Wallach’s influence extended even beyond her physical and financial health. He even introduced her to her future husband, Jonathan. After taking some time off from Youngevity to raise twins, she returned to build her downline with dozens of new Distributors. She has become a Youngevity Ambassador in the process, the second person to achieve that rank in the company’s history. “It was a little scary when I got back in,” she says, “but my husband was a strong supporter, and since I grew up in the company, it seemed like home.”

Sheryl always leads with the CEO Pak but is thrilled that Youngevity has so many product options. “Youngevity offers something of interest for everyone,” she says.
