When Youngevity first jumped into the essential oil business with the Ancient Legacy brand, essential oils were just beginning to take off. At the time, they were being used mostly by massage therapists, acupuncturists and other natural healers. This unconventional method of treating physical, emotional and spiritual concerns was unfamiliar to many individuals.

Last year was a big year for Larene Williamson! After getting back from her TAC cruise, she took some time to chat with us about how she was able to take her business to the next level in 2015; and continues to do so in 2016.
In February 2016, Youngevity announced its acquisition of South Hill Designs, a home party company offering a stylish customizable jewelry line. South Hill’s products include lockets, charms, bracelets and earrings that can be paired with a number of accessories to create a nearly endless variety of unique, feminine pieces.
If there is one meal that should never, ever be skipped it’s breakfast. I’ve said it a million times and I’ll say it a million more times; breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It’s the fuel you need to get your metabolism going which provides you with energy needed for the day.
While our first concern should always be our own health, we must also not forget about the health of our four-legged family members. Our pets need just as much care and support as any other member of our household. They require optimal nutrition, plenty of exercise and personal care in order to live longer, healthier lives.
In a world overflowing with messages of all kinds (marketing, social, entertainment, political, religious, etc.), how do you get someone to listen to your message? And how do you attract their attention without them even realizing you are doing it?
One way to do it is piquing—an effective prospecting strategy I learned many years ago. I continue to use it today because it simply works, and it doesn’t cause people to cross to the other side of the street when they see you coming. It’s actually a lot like fishing.
Question: Looking back, what were some of the toughest challenges you and Steve faced when you were building Youngevity?
Answer: I am sure we had the same tough challenges any company faces when they first start out. Some of our challenges included finding a location big enough to fit our operation, working with our manufacturers to keep up with our growth, and finding qualified employees to keep up with our sales and shipping needs. As I think about it, the biggest task was finding the technology to keep up with our growth.
In late May 2015 Youngevity announced the acquisition of Mialisia, a direct sales jewelry company that specializes in interchangeable jewelry. As a result of this business combination, Youngevity distributors and customers now have access to the unique, patent-pending “VersaStyle” jewelry that allows women to express their style and enhance their lives.
For Annelise Brown, Founder, Mialisia is literally a dream come true. She spent much of her adult life working together with her husband to raise her children. Now, as the CEO of the company, she is excited to serve others by offering a product that changes the way women wear jewelry.
